MASPHIL Profile
MASPHIL (Agbulos
Martial Arts Studio Philippines) traces its beginnings
in 1969 to Ernesto B. Reynoso Kyoshi (7th Dan red and white
belter, Shorin-ryu Karate) Director of NRS Combat Judo Karate
Club. For 14 years, Reynoso Kyoshi together with 8 nationally
ranked assistant blackbelters founded 8 Judo karate Clubs in
Metro Manila. His mysterious disappearance in March 1983 forced
his assistants to bring MASPHIL to life. It
was registered with the Department of Trade and Industry on
May 27, 1983 as SCT Martial Arts Studio Philippines then changed
its name into Agbulos Martial Arts Studio Philippines
on January 14, 2002.
In 1984, the blackbelt playing teams of Law Enforcers
Karate Club and Black Shotokan joined.
In 1986, AJUCKA Martial Arts Association and Ling-lan
Martial Arts Christian Foundation entered into a Pact
of Brotherhood with us.
In 1987, MASPHIL became a part of the organizing
comittee for the National Karate Team Qualifying Tournament
for the 14th SEA Games, which led to the reorganization of the
